The Bulkley River has one of the largest, if not the largest wild Steelhead runs in the world. The river is blessed with over ninety miles of classic fly water.
The Lodge
The Bulkley River Lodge is on a remote section of one of the best Steelhead rivers on the planet located within the traditional Wet'suwet'en Territory. River-front access and no neighbors are great assets for a fishing lodge.

Primetime for Steelhead is late August to the middle of November
The Fish
Steelhead from 5 to 30 pounds... These wild fish are well known for attacking surface presentations throughout the season.

Hi my name is Tommy Thomson. I grew up in the mountain ski town of Whistler, British Columbia. I have always found myself in the outdoors from skiing to snowboarding, surfing to mountain biking. One thing IS clear – I’m a fishing nut! I have been working as a saltwater/freshwater fishing guide since the age of fifteen. From the west coast of Vancouver Island to the remote corner of Haida Gwaii, my time spent on the water has led me to the sometimes challenging but rewarding pursuit of Steelhead on the fly. This transpired into a passion that has landed me at one of the most enjoyable fishing lodges in the world! The Bulkley River Lodge has been home for me for the last three seasons and has been an amazing experience both on and off the water. T'ill we meet there...
