The Lodge

The Bulkley River Lodge is on a remote section of one of the best Steelhead rivers on the planet located within the traditional Wet'suwet'en Territory. River-front access and no neighbors are great assets for a fishing lodge.

The River

The Bulkley River has one of the largest, if not the largest wild Steelhead runs in the world. The river is blessed with over ninety miles of classic fly water.

The Season

Primetime for Steelhead is late August to the middle of November

The Fish

Steelhead from 5 to 30 pounds... These wild fish are well known for attacking surface presentations throughout the season.

Jeff Harrop

Hey gang, Jeff here, the newest of the crew here at the BRL! Growing up in Ontario chasing bass and walleye, I made the move to the west when I was 18 and realized what real fishing is all about. I have spent most of my time since then in Calgary with a few years wandering around Costa Rica teaching surf camps and fishing when ever I had the chance. That's when I realized I'd choose the mountains and rivers over the beach and sun any day. I have been in the hospitality industry for as long as I can remember and guided on the Bow river for 4 and a half years until I got the opportunity to work on the Babine River for a couple of seasons. 3 years ago we made the move to the valley and 2 kids, a new business and few less fish than I would have liked, I'm back to doing what I love. Fall is my favorite time of year and nothing beats those crisp mornings and a cup of coffee on a quiet river. Heres to another great season with great people!
