The Lodge

The Bulkley River Lodge is on a remote section of one of the best Steelhead rivers on the planet located within the traditional Wet'suwet'en Territory. River-front access and no neighbors are great assets for a fishing lodge.

The Season

Primetime for Steelhead is late August to the middle of November

The River

The Bulkley River has one of the largest, if not the largest wild Steelhead runs in the world. The river is blessed with over ninety miles of classic fly water.

The Fish

Steelhead from 5 to 30 pounds... These wild fish are well known for attacking surface presentations throughout the season.

John Woodward

25 years and counting my annual pilgrimage to the Bulkley River, it never gets old. The last 17 years I have been terribly fortunate to enjoy the wonderful Bulkley River Lodge.

The Lodge is beautifully situated on the river bank and the cabins are terrific, the food is 5 star and as far as the staff goes, in my estimate, there are none better. They can’t do enough for there guests.

The guides are top notch, (as an old guide myself) I can be a bit of a tough judge.

The fishing seems to be getting better and better. Whitey and Melissa have created a fantastic first class lodge on a first class river.
